TIBCO to Merge SOA and Cloud Computing

HCL Technologies and VMware Look to TIBCO Silver to Provide Cloud Computing Platform for Enterprise Customers

TIBCO Software (NASDAQ: TIBX) announced alliances with HCL Technologies and VMware to facilitate adoption and help enterprise customers realize the benefits of cloud computing with TIBCO Silver -- the industry's first platform designed from the ground up for the rapid delivery of cloud applications inside the enterprise.

HCL Technologies, one of India's leading global IT Services companies, will leverage TIBCO Silver to help its customers pursue and deploy their cloud strategy through outsourcing, consulting services, solutions labs and bundled services. Vikram Duvvoori, senior vice president and global head, enterprise transformation services, HCL Technologies stated, "At HCL, we believe that cloud computing could create an impact beyond IT and open up Blue Ocean opportunities for business transformation. We are long standing strategic partners with TIBCO and share a vision for transformation. We believe that TIBCO Silver is a step in the right direction, as it reduces barriers to adoption of process automation and application platforms."

VMware, the global leader in virtualization solutions from the desktop through the datacenter and to the cloud, will work with TIBCO to enable customers who virtualize their IT environments to more easily deploy and manage application solutions and create new services so they are able to focus less on maintenance and more on innovation. "VMware vSphere(TM) 4 helps customers of all sizes dramatically reduce capital and operating expenses while providing a proven platform for running all their applications with increased flexibility and agility," said Parag Patel, vice president, alliances, VMware. "Our new relationship with TIBCO complements the VMware vCloud Initiative to enable simplified infrastructure that will allow companies to more easily build and deploy applications for the cloud."

"We are extremely pleased to be working with HCL Technologies and VMware in helping them deliver next generation cloud computing solutions to their customers," said Jan Plutzer, senior vice president, field operations and alliances at TIBCO. By using TIBCO Silver we look forward to our joint customers developing new applications that are governable, scalable and rapidly deployable."
