Kaavo Adds Rackspace Cloud Support to IMOD

IMOD will support one click deployment and automated run-time management for complex custom applications on Cloud Servers

Cloud Computing Journal

Kaavo Inc. announced its core product IMOD will support one click deployment and automated run-time management for complex custom applications on Cloud Servers from The Rackspace Cloud, Rackspace Hosting’s cloud computing division.

“Kaavo is a pioneer in application centric management for cloud computing and Rackspace users will benefit from their ability to simplify the deployment and management of complex custom applications in the cloud,” said Emil Sayegh, General Manager of The Rackspace Cloud. “We are excited about the functionality that Kaavo is extending to our customers.”

“We were delighted by the ease of use of the Cloud Servers API, as it enabled us to quickly integrate with our offering,” said Jamal Mazhar, Founder and CEO of Kaavo. “We look forward to continuing to provide innovations for making it easier for users to deploy, secure and manage their applications in the cloud.”

By tapping the capabilities of cloud computing, IMOD enables users of Amazon’s EC2 and, now, The Rackspace Cloud, to manage all resources required for running applications as a unified system. IMOD provides the following benefits to users:

  • Application centric n-tier configuration: With one click, IMOD automatically brings online one or multi-server systems, configures middleware, deploys application/workload, and starts all dependent services in a specified order
  • Automation: Ability to automate complex workflows to handle run-time production exceptions without human intervention
  • Effective monitoring and alerts: Users can monitor resources employed by their applications and set up alerts to proactively manage application service levels

Kaavo invites individuals and businesses to sign-up for a free 30-day trial at https://imod.kaavo.com. For a video demonstrating how to deploy and manage applications on Rackspace cloud using IMOD, please click here.
